Each purchase comes complete with the commemorative envelope, cancelled with the historic Mansfield 250th Anniversary handstamp, an insert describing the history of the postmark, and a plastic protective sleeve.

This cancellation was only used for 30 days (August 23 - September 22, 2025), after which the handstamp was destroyed.

Only 500 of these commemorative envelopes were created.

Thomas “Tokey” Barnes (1928-1995) was a life-long Mansfield resident, and his paintings portrayed life as he saw it.  Those who knew him remarked about his humor, wit, and generosity.  Most of his paintings were gifted to his family and friends and can be found in Jimmy’s Pub, Stan’s Barber Shop, and Geno’s.   Tokey was born with Cerebral Palsy,  which influenced his portrayal of people in this painting of Mansfield.   Lily’s Drug Store with Mr. Vose standing in front, the old Post Office and the Mansfield High School Marching Band brings back memories of Mansfield in a different time.
